I Can’t Find Good Help!
A Timeless Need for Laborers
I have heard this phrase being used over and over again. I can't find help. There seems to be a shortage of reliable help. To me, when I hear it, it sounds very concerning. People are either not wanting to work; they can’t live on the wages that employers offer; or, for any number of reasons, there is a shortage of help and workers.
In the Gospels, Jesus saw the people, being scattered abroad because they had no shepherd and said, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.“
There seems to have always been a Help problem since the time of Christ. It is nothing new; it has been common.
Well, this month, Taking the Light is seeking to find new help in Peru, or at least some trial help for the studio in Arequipa. As you know, we have Luis Alberto, and he is doing an excellent job, but the workload has increased. The studio is being used, but we are seeking to create some order and structure to run it efficiently and achieve all that we are seeking to see happen this upcoming year. We want to make sure we are good stewards of the grace God has given us.
So please be praying that God sends the right people who will work well and have a similar heart to see the Gospel reach the pueblos and villages. God is good, and we want to do all we can to see His gospel and His truth sent out to as many people as we can reach. Thank you for your prayers and partnership on this.
