The Light is shining brightly
How a Quick Trip Turns Out Terrifically
The Lord provided in an incredible way this month. My passport was renewed much faster than expected, which allowed me to travel to Peru. The Bible college, where our studio is located, was holding its graduation, and I was given the great privilege of preaching to the graduates, faculty, and staff. I preached from Romans 15 and spoke about ministry, obedience, and the calling to take the Gospel where Christ is not known. Once again, I was reminded that God is always faithful and that His Word never returns void.
As I stood before those young men, I was humbled to see hearts that are willing to give their lives to the work of the Gospel. It was a powerful reminder that the future of ministry is built on surrender and obedience to God’s call.
During the message, I brought up my trip to Peru back in September and shared about how God allowed my friends and me to travel to the town of Chivay. I reminded them of the great need there and of the plea I had shared a few months ago for that city. I told them how a man from Chivay came and asked if we would help start a ministry in his village. That request was not by chance, but a clear sign that God is opening a door.
Before I returned home, one of the graduates approached me and said he wanted to go and be part of helping start a church in Chivay. He spoke with a quiet confidence that showed he understood both the calling and the sacrifice. It was a powerful reminder that God not only opens doors, but He also raises up the laborers to walk through them.
Now we ask for prayer as we seek God’s wisdom, direction, and provision. We must begin raising the funds needed to move forward in a way that honors Him. The harvest truly is ready, and we are thankful to see that the Lord is already preparing His workers.
